a million times
i’ve been inside myself
and so completely
torn my self up
for you.

a million times
i’ve taken the razor
to my heart,
and thought that if i can’t
give it to you,
no one shall have it.

a million times
i’ve shed blood tears,
crying out my pain,
hoping you might see,
and want to do something to
soothe me.

a million times
i’ve picked up the splinters
and shards of glass
that mark my empty hands,
and tried to move on.

a million times i have
moved on.

but, i’ve fallen
in love with you
a million times
plus one.
