“morning already holds its distant mirror”
what a line so so so good……..
——–
no day’s idol or night’s dream,
extreme in rites of winsome lines
can haunt the taunts of reams
of poetry behind the blinds
a maze of turning corners
on the edges of why not
we walk on tightropes taught
while mourners of the
then and why
write stageplays
never directed
and yet we are still
resurrected,
waiving
our
lightening
down upon
the who we are
listening to the lucid star
never knowing why we are
on a journey not to waste
shine not blind
our souls can
taste
if i could write the maze
behind the mask
i’d do it, but i can’t and so
i leave you to the task
