Forbidden Fruit
Cradling my soul of broken glory
And tiresome rhetoric of home
The waiting, the wanting all circumvents itself
When I enter her home
Inside her house I am free
I touch the breath of God
I feel free as the womb sleeping beside me
The powerful legs grasp me and pull me inside her
She tells me I am safe and am loved, and inside her
I can contemplate eternity
Inside I feel the breathing morn
I succumb and eat forbidden fruit
Between her thighs I climb and crawl
And inside I feel the night
The nighttime love crumbles inside my throat
The morning will recover and reassemble
My peacefulness, with her in the garden delight
The rosebuds sweep and swoon to greet my
Morning gaze
