dogs barked my baptism
in their pursuits of bloody meat
angelcats meowed affirming prayers
casually sipping curdled milk
birds sang sweet hymns
scaling the walls of heaven
strangers bowed before me
offering a penny for my thoughts
day gave an inspiring sermon
as saints passed the basket
night smiled knowingly
as i exited the cathedral
