lazy Saturday

I sit and munch
breakfast turned lunch-
cranberry and granola
cereal
just got done
tinkering
on my recently tuned
piano
Bach, Chopin, Mozart
to my left
the sunlight
intensifies
through the three
easterly bay windows
where I like to read
warm in a beanbag
lying on the wooden floor
I’ve a checkbook
to balace
bills
to pay
taxes
to prepare for the sending
but I’ve three days
of relaxation
and “being”
that I must spend
and hours before
a monitor
typing silly prosey
tryin to stimulate
my mind
my get-up-and-go
has got-up-and-left
in a lethargy of time
