It’s a dream, sadly

Parent message is 124616
separated from you
by climate, time, space, life,
bodies and other divisions,
I have resorted to orange-tinged daydreams
of a world that isn’t.

You, my large hipped radiant playmate!!!
You are! You’re my Apple.
Can’t we just transcend what’s
now so supremely trite to write about,
and just BE!!
rolling, bound together on spring grass,
laughing into each other’s eyes??
It’s a dream, sadly
because there are so many BOUNDARIES.

As we roll I’d kiss your teeth
as you smile because
I would kiss my favorite paintings
at the Met if I could, the same way
I kiss jellybeans before I eat them.
