Once upon a night it was all icicle bright outside the bedroom window
Baby tuck-o and miss moocow were getting ready for sleepytime
Cold cold cold brrrrr cold outside and mmmmm, toasty warm inside
So when they climbed into bed it sure felt good
Except
Miss Moocow couldn’t sleep and she wanted to play games
Bow wow wow
I am a cow
No you’re not
That is a dog

And just then Bowser climbed into the big, big bed with them and went right to sleep

Baby tuck-o could see that this was going to be a strange night indeed

Meow Meow Meow
I am a cow
No no no
That is a cat
Little puffball jumped onto the bed and shimmied under the covers and was fast asleep

Neigh Neigh Neigh
I am a cow
Hey Hey Hey
That is a horse
Miss Nelly pranced into the room and lay down right on the big big bed!

Baa Baa Baa
I am a cow
No No No
That is a sheep
(You can quess what happened next)

Cheep cheep cheep
I am a cow
Not like that
That is a chick
Bossy came in gave us a lick
And then jumped in with baby tuck-o, bowser, puffball and one no-named sheep

Glub Glub Glub
I am a cow
I think not
Sounds like a fish
Three of them swam into bed – oscar, gruffo and louie

Squeek squeek squeek
I am a cow
Sorry old bean
More like a mouse
Dorrit burrowed in, too

Oink oink oink
I am a cow
Stop stop stop
That is a pig

Kaa Kaa Kaa
I am a cow
Oh no no no
That is a crow
Now a feathered friend had joined in

Quack Quack Quack
I am a cow
No not that
That is a duck

Croak Croak Croak
I am a cow
That’s not so
That is a frog
(who said a frog might join in?)

Buzz Buzz Buzz
I am a cow
No you’re not
That is a bee
(sting sting sting, hey that stings!)
buzz off – we made the bee go away or least to the window

Hop hop hop
I am a cow
Nope nope nope
That’s how a bunny goes
Floppet and two sisters came in

Hee Haw Haw
I am a cow
Nah Nah Nah
A donkey’s bray
Donkeys once invited never go away

Wah Wah Wah
How must I go
If I am a cow
Well baby tuck-o
I will tell you how

If you are a cow
You go just like this
Moo moo moo

Say
Moo moo moo

Moo moo moo

Yes Yes Yes!

Say moo moo moo
Moo moo moo

And with that, Baby Tucko reached up and
Gave the moocow a big big kiss and said
Good night!

(They were all in bed and ready to sleep, baby tuck-o, miss moocow, bowser, puffball, nelly, hopper, harry, buzz, jacker, mr ribbet, dorret the mouse) But they couldn’t sleep because Miss MooCow kept them awake. So Mr. Bullhorn and Mrs. MotherCow came into the room and sang them a song to put them all to sleep. Here’s how it went:

So there were ten in the bed and the little one said, roll over, rollover
So they all rolled over and one fell out there were nine in the bed and the little one said
Roll over roll over
So they all rolled over and one fell out there were eight in the bed and the little one said
Roll over roll over

So they all rolled over and one fell out there were seven in the bed and the little one said
Roll over roll over

So they all rolled over and one fell out there were six in the bed and the little one said
Roll over roll over

So they all rolled over and one fell out there were five in the bed and the little one said
Roll over roll over

So they all rolled over and one fell out there were four in the bed and the little one said
Roll over roll over
So they all rolled over and one fell out there were three in the bed and the little one said
Roll over roll over
So they all rolled over and one fell out there were two in the bed and the little one said
Roll over roll over
So they all rolled over and one fell out there was one in the bed and the little one said
Good night

(Now if you are still awake, you must have a whole barnyard in your bed! No wonder you can’t sleep!)
