The Blank Page

Blank Page
The blank page glances
Twice at my
Unshaven face,
From far across the room,
on a wooden table,
with a broken
Leg,
full of empty beer bottles,
Wine bottles,
Scattered endlessly with
Read and unread books
From Bukowski,
Delillo,
Hemmingway,
Kerouac,
The perilous writing’s of
Burrough’s in Tangier,
Yellow notepads,
Then I realize,
All the books
In the world
Will never be read
By everybody,
And the blank page
Walked toward me.
