through tired eyes I see

I see the world in bleak vision,
through misty-sighted lashes blinking
playing witness to concrete and metal

through tired eyes I see

I see the world in cracker-crumb sculptures,
when Earth is Hell
when the world is not there–

through tired eyes I see

I see life through blinding heatstroke visions of…?
of what?
of denial
of fear
I see the world through clarvoiant weeping dreams,
vast,
destitute

One man’s soul–lost,
unseen,
floating unobstructed
