loved you, you know
think that’s what saved
us in the end
and even though you
affected me
i could never be quite
the way you needed me
though i was the way you
wanted me
and i knew
that you’d never be more
than everything
i shouldn’t have
twisting my convictions
and pushing me past
myself until we both became
unrecognizable
