I look
in mirror’s majesty,
never knowing what
i’ll see,
i’m waiting,
you see, I am waiting,
standing here waiting,
for a nod.

I amuse
myself absently,
sparks in vague
periphery,
i’m waiting,
you see, I am waiting,
standing here waiting,
for a sign.

I amble
on satisfied, I’ll
always be drawn to
shadowside,
i’m waiting
you see I’m waiting,
standing here waiting,
in a line
