my favorite hour with you?
when i know it’s a new day
sliding in fast
and we have no intention
of stopping for it
i question so much…
and still questions roll through my mind
tonight
but there’s never been anything
so apparent as this
i bury myself in your shoulder
and feel your breath on my neck
just below my ear
feeling your fingers
laced into mine…
in this small
sweet
space in time…
i thank you
for loving me.
