invisible ink

i write myself with invisible ink,
disappearing into a deep abyss,
recreating each molecule
in a parallel dimension,
convinced i cannot see
my own reflection in the lake
of fire; i inspire my own
admissions of guilt;
i watch the bright orange
alstroemeria petals wilt,
imagine seedlings breaking
ground next spring.
when the phone rings,
the receptionist will answer.
i am not here yet still
the will of God insists
my cells must be continually
replaced; my skin is on fire.
i face eternity, eyes open
to illumination.
damnation can wait.
i have too much on my plate.
