beautiful and heartbreaking doreen… reminds me of a recent scene in an airport i was a bit player in… this combination really struck me:

You are firm,
fixed,
sanguine,
tenacious in stature,
solid in repose.
And yet, too,
you are liquid oceans
of nectar framed by seafoam,
carrying me off in waves
of yearning.
