my love

my love for you isn’t simple rose petal sweet, it’s a black plague that beats deeper in my chest, spreading with obsidian feathers into the veins that let me feel, it’s a cool desert night full of stars against a night sky, holding it’s own beauty, tender kisses made in the clay of a mind, that walks selflessly across my sense of touch, stoic and alone, taunt belly holding me tight in the stillness of longing, as the mouth opens, it’s the blood rising between two bodies in coitus that explodes in rhythmic sputters, tainted and sinful, labeled sacrilege by simple minds that stopped learning a long time before the bones reached maturity, silently expanding in a groin, razor sharp stabs to the gut and flesh mixed with saliva, written between connecting hands hidden under cloth and shrouds of midnight thought, rigid between my ears, in between my lips, cherry red wine colored from hunger, my love for you isn’t simple lace, it’s a black plague that reaches further into true feelings…
