the burning question I thought as I read this was ‘what song was this inspired by?’

I saw the lines ‘this is necessary’

I immediately thought

‘disgustipated’ by TOOL

I was thinking what I was going to write, how to reply

then I saw…. ‘life feeds on life’

(i was even thinking of this as I read it, before you wrote it out…)

glad to see a TOOL fan here
