Don’t forget to lock
while fixing the clock
batter that they knock
in this creeping epoch.
The patriotic law in place
one has to save face
well past the age of grace
you’re either a rat or an ace
something you got to face.
Meanwhile I am hanging cool
like a good old fool
I got nothing in my mind
no doors to lock
and no clock to rewind.
