my wishes

i would use three wishes
to reverse three truths
suffering, disease, death,
i would have us immortal,
eternal,
and inviolable.

then, my fourth, i’d wish for bright red bike,
so i could cycle to the beech
and make my next wishes.

my fifth, i’d wish to see the whole spectrum of light,
my sixth, the whole spectrum of sound,
my seventh, i’d wish to be light.
my eight, I’d wish everybody to be light,
my ninth, we’d wish light alive!
my tenth, we’d wish a playground to give
all light a game to outlast God.
