sometimes i see you
behind frosted glass
with christmas holly etched carefully
in spots to reveal your beauty.
i wander over your flesh
and hold the eyepiece i see of you
through that green red space of transparency
deep in my hands
palming it in fortune teller greed.
sometimes i see you
in white clouds holding rain
waiting to burst and explode onto november earth
with green quenching the brown
exclaiming “ha!” to the season waiting for its birth
while i tuck you into my pocket
for a sunny day when moods are spiral
knowing you’ll be there filled with that lovely liquid
to cover me.
sometimes i see you
and feel you with my breath rising in epiphanies
keeping you close
although you have decided to hold your magnolias
miles and miles away
while i lay in fruitless sleep wondering the tigerdancing in your dreams,
look at the clock and add your sacred hour
believing i am the furthest thing from your thoughts.
but sometimes,
sometimes i see you
and sometimes you see me
at the exact same moment
green to grey
and you cannot possibly
possibly
walk away.
