Insecurity Blanket Statement

wrapped in a quilt of my own insecurity
covered in a lifetime of wondering
folded like origami notions
am I good enough?
am I?
even though I know
what I know
those ragtag emotions overwhelm
covering up the moldy remains
of what lies inside
grief, that bugger
pain, that heartrender
leaving a trail of tears
no one can follow
i am getting cozy
in my insecurity blanket…
