slide the jargon across
a monitored message sky

upholster your place
in your corner of time
dip all your space into
your language bowl
and acquaint
your smile
with the sign that
steps in and out
life in
front
of you

ignore the questions
carve a field from the block
of forgetting
to catch moments
of sweet
moist rhetoric

taste memory:
an arrow
circumnavigating
the nomadic rock

move your tongue
in elliptical motions
around your halophyte
around your narrative code
of saline summer

lick these distances
lick them
lick them in rotating bliss
these salted slivers
that live in the
eternal grooves of
your gramophone shivers
