Light screens in panic room window
“The leaded glass of Frank Lloyd Wright”
Caught looking at a spiders web
Full moon, overcast
So, it was no, shimmering spectacle
Though,
Before,
While I was out
I made a shimmering spectacle of myself
Scan the image, animate, fast forward, rewind
“Freeze Frame”
So then, what you’re saying is…
It’s all a picture show
Scan slide, fade out to credit roll
Did I mention?
Hell no,
I’m sure I forgot to mention
I once painted a Monet
With watercolors, and
I sketched an exact replica of
David
Except, his butt looked flat
In the original, so
I drew it larger, to my liking
Day dreamer on a postcard
Next to sunglasses hung in rows
Oh shit!
The reflecting rows of lights, on rows
And I almost forgot
All I needed was…
Trident White
Lighting up rows is serious business
Where the hell is the Trident White?
How many kinds of gum are there to scan through, before I find what I’m looking for?
There it is…
I’ve found the light!

But, I’m really not such a great shopper
