when i ask
for yr opinion you
tell me i’m joking,
a faint veil
of licorice & nectar
beautiful omens that
quiver & quake
with diamond bracelets
& the thickness of fever,
i observe as yr remarks
& decapitations shiver
like silver lanterns,
laugh in organic remorse,
prosper in coral
variations,
open a path for you
to return home,
the way you disembark
from yr vast distant stations,
trembling, certain with
belief
