i must be
more naïve than i though
because for some reason
i thought that
we had a good time
and that we might
go out again
or that we would
at least speak
to each other again

but instead
i haven’t heard from you
despite my attempts
that have left me
feeling embarrassed
and alone
and pathetic

so here’s my advice to you:

don’t kiss a girl good-bye
unless you’re planning
to kiss her hello again
in the near future

i can’t take it
i’ve been through enough
please don’t make me
survive you too
