you know me all too well

Parent message is 679644
a cosmic joke
somewhere in the white lace
of a time long gone.
(you’re right)
you’ll laugh another
i told you so:
the stars just never looked
this beautiful
when spiraling downward.
(i was too stubborn to listen)
isn’t it mad?
this twist of events
taken to the most unlikely of places
while in the midst
of roses and candlelight
me–surrounded by victorian grandeur
(still heartachingly wonderful iowa).
your cosmic dust
came to me suddenly one summer
giving me a forever changing gift
to see something
beyond.
your steps will be breathtakingly watched
by an eternal bride
who knows
your strength of forests
(you know what i mean)
brought me to a new place
allowing me
to believe.

thanks, markk.
