harlequin smile sold cheap,
like a never ran pilot.
to harsh for tv.
walk without words to the end,
silent movie star masquerade masks,
dancing with the clouds in a closet.
littered about the floor
like a pile of dirty laundry.
take a sip and fill the humger,
let it burn the buds and seer the eyes.
hands clasped in prayer to deities,
deities of dirt and mind.
whistle into my ear and maybe,
just maybe i can understand.
or it might blink and vanish,
like the stars you wish upon.
gone.
