i so wanted to write you
words of love dripping in lilacs
trace your tears along your cheek
hold you close to me while i read
words that cried out from my very soul
words that would float statues
devoted to love down the the
steamy waters of passions run wild

but nooo…. i had to write-

you are really one fine woman
and i consider myself one lucky man
