and yes it’s true that bones can come again
and nothing’s wrong with that, there is no err
in standing on supports of thigh and shin —
(did man stand up, erect, upon a dare?)
well, i don’t know, i’m not here to attest
the evolution of a sonnet born,
but basic’ly, sometimes a verse is blessed
by stature in the bones, though some are worn.

there’s some who coin new words like polymer-
while sonnets stick right on it, as on her.
