utterances has turned into a gigantic party… neverending, nonstop madness. but i think that it’s necessary to have a place where people can just post random craziness. and i would also agree that it has allowed us to get to know more about each other, which is a good thing.

i think that perhaps if we used the other boards for the more literary discussions, and tried to steer those discussions there, it would happen, and those boards would start moving faster…

however, i don’t know if it’s possible to slow a place like utterances down. people are just going to be crazy sometimes. and when there’s a group of us all at one time… well… it is madness. thoughts zipping a million miles a second. part of a changed spirit, yes, but… it happens. is all of it brilliant or important? probably not. i mean, there are people who i find less interesting than others, and i tend to simply ignore their posts. does that do anything about the aesthetics of the board after a posting frenzy? no, but i guess it shows that we just gravitate toward what we’re interested in.

and of course, when jota shows up with a lampshade on his head, well, come on…

The Literary Kicks message boards were active from 2001 to 2004.
