Dreams Of Babylon

I

Joy to those who have been
Over estimated in this game
Of charades we so poorly
Play as we chase the dreams
Of a sleeping old man to
Asia and back, swallowing

The sun in a single gulp, repenting
For the sins of animal and
Human, writing the memoirs of
An invisible enigma taking the
World by storm as the rise
And fall of babylon bring gifts

From a world only one
Can imagine in a
Child’s nightmare.

II

As for our nation

As for our fears

As for masturbation

As for these tears

Soon they shall fall

As by their law.
