(slow and melodic)

I never needed anything
besides my jamie king
She’d help me through my trials
oh lord whatever they would bring

we loved each other dearly
and we were always near
I recall how I lost her now
and the way it was so queer

It was mid december
we had an early snow
the town I don’t remember
but twas northern ohio

the thing that was so strange
was the way she said goodbye
love we need a change
now baby please don’t cry

for I can here it callin
callin from the other side
It’s not our love that’s fallin
but my mind i must abide

she didn’t say another word
and left me on that day
I had to turn my head dear lord
while she walked away

It’s been nearly three years now
but you know it often seems
I feel her spirit beside me
I see her in my dreams

so if i hear it callin
callin from the other side
I’ll let my world fall
and join my jamie’s side
