pretty nonsense

pretty nonsense carves the words
over the trees we long to hear
pretty nonsense is a dime
under a dozen aspects of oxen daylight
pretty nonsense dwells in oxygen
as if all words were an accident
she rings true with an accent
to large extents pretty nonsense
will weave stanzas to a higher sense
the incense of the language
that only we can hear
makes its way earthward
under the matter
below this oven of daylight
