This particular piece is raw and passionate with hatred BECAUSE it uses the cliches. My mother and stepfather have gotten into some wicked fights in the past…and the thought of my stepdad with stitches, screaming “STUPID BITCH” at my mother, and all that blah blah….was not only perfectly conveyed by this piece, it again…makes it raw and passionate with anger. (man…long thought, eh? lol)

Just my opinion…but if you’ve actually lived situations like this poem, you could truly feel the reality of it.
