The first flowers are little more
Than grasses, purple suprises
Staying ‘hi’ on little stilts. If
I knew all the words for
Spring, all the words to
Sing, nothing could hold
My tongue. Instead I’m

Silent, wait for ants to
Row by in their boats
Of quest, their want of
Sugar. Instead I’ll just

Wait for something sweet
To find the words I give,
Alive. Wait in faith ’till they arrive.

*Yesterday was a beautiful “early spring ” day.
Today, it’s drizzling and twenty degrees colder.

(If you don’t like the weather in Georgia, give it 10 minutes and it will change!)

rain.
