Bizarre

You caught me
staring at the
reflection I
pondered at in
the looking glass.
I am sorry-
I was not trying
to be vain.
You stared in horror
as I tore
my clothes away
and danced in the street
underneath the rain.
I am sorry,
I was curious
why it was wrong.
I knew but no one
else could seem to
realize they were
the same beyond
their designer
shoes and greasy
lipstick and sticky
eyelashes.
You say that I
am absolutely bizarre,
driving by in that
expensive car-
you payed
so much for gloss.
I am sorry-
I had not bothered
to worry about your
eyes crawling for
reasons to bolster
a pitiful ego,
and I am sorry
you sold your
Soul.
