has always told me that she loves my poetry in part because it captures her own experiences, and expresses her thoughts and feelings in a way that she can’t. I’m personal because I have to be; writing is what keeps me sane and what helps me to make sense of things. I share poetry this personal with other people because I think more people than I realize have gone through experiences similar to mine, and I think it helps to know that you are not alone. Thank you for the feedback; when I’ve managed to turn pain into beauty that other people get something out of I’ve won, somehow. At least it all seems a little less meaningless. But isn’t that what poetry is all about? (:
