Ass

I thought that would draw attention
better than words more carefully considered
late at night
when I pour out my heart
to indifferent strangers
but
I should know better
life never pays attention
unless you kick ass

Or as if I took a walk
with my dog
or an ass
that would surely
make strangers stop
and connect

I’m silly, but it’s ok.
