a good man

what i need is a good man
one who thinks it’s worth his time to romance me
buy me chocolates and flowers
listen to my thoughts
holds my hand in public even when his friends are around
i’d love for him to kiss me from head to toe
my pleasure would mean something to him
same as his own; a thing of pride
he’d help me see again the world is not so very ugly
make me forget…
he could walk the dog
i want a house with a little yard, some kids and a chicken
fruit trees, trees, chiles, lots of flowers, a little creek, moss rocks asian style
he’d organize our library
read to me on rainy nights
take the knots out my hair
help me put up the christmas tree
bring on the new year
we’d laugh, giggle, smirk
watch movies
dance
go for a ride to the end of the world and back

what is so complicated about growing old together?
it’s gonna happend anyway
age

i
won’t
hold
my breath

a good man, santa
a good man

…i’m not on your list? figures.
