are frowned upon should they say something like “I met someone on the internet”
Yes, there are weirdos, and freaks, and sickos…
And they live on your block, shop in your supermarkets, they frequent the bar that you go to Friday nights for a drink.
They even go to your church!
People belittle and snicker, poke fun and shrug you off
Should you say something like “I met a really nice person on the internet, we have a lot in common and share a special ‘bond'”
How is it more risqué than buying something off the net and be trusting of your credit card info, your address & phone number?
How is it more insensible than closing a business deal over the wire?
How is it more meaningless, stupid and dangerous than a half-dozen things that you do ‘in real life’ on a daily basis???
The internet is a medium of communication and facilitates expression. This website is a part of all that.
You’re not a prick, you are human and you’re hurting.
