Like Everyone Else

There’s this little blown bird
that the wind can’t stop
from hating the world
in his lone tree top
He knew how to fly
but somehow forgot

Like Everyone Else
he’s waiting to drop
Like Everyone Else
he’s ready to drop

There’s this tree standing cold
all naked and bare
that’s watching his leaves blow
everywhere
He’s hating the rings
that have made him so tough

Like Everyone Else
he wants to give up
Like Everyone Else
he just wants to give up

They watch this man
who’s hating the clock
and counting these minutes
that he can’t stop
Keeps asking himself
“Where’d it all go?”

Till the bird in the breeze
answers him so
“With the leaves of the trees, man
that’s where it goes”
