I wish you’d write more directly. You say really neat things in the conversation side of this board (you think of your wife as a warrior, you look for “metaphors in waves”) that I think could make interesting, experience-based poems. The actual could give you something stable to anchor your ideas to, and really add something punchy to your poetry.
