before either one of us wakes
tell me: who is the dreamer?

(and who will disappear?

prove to me this isn’t real

(smashes the liquor cabinet with one
karate chop
backflips onto glass coffee table
(shatters

still not convinced
(flies across room

i could do that when I was young!

you’re bleeding
where your arm struck the glass cabinet
(must be real

that proves nothing

what really matters
in a dream there are no closed brackets

(ahhhhhh!
