it’s like this piph,
see, i broke the stranglehold of fate
we’ve actually been married ten years now
have known her since she was ten, 28 years ago
we loved, lost and then I wandered away
and I lost her for oh so long
somehow, someway I found her again
told the world to piss off
didn’t care what anyone said
while others crumble
we keep rising
our mountain of love
i am so madly in love with her

so to explain this poem
it’s a “what if”
and I, for one, am glad it’s
really a “never ended that way”

i didn’t get her to say yes to me
she actually asked me to marry her
despite the broken marriages we
both had dissolved in our past
she wanted to try it with me
and you see, I could never say no to her
ever
