The wind whispers the sound of despair
Each cold howl leaves the ground hard and white with frost
the blue black frigid weather shows its face
with each relentless shreik of fury
the limbs flail like hay in the wind
Dark comes as daylight rests
the endless winter commences
with the bland sirine settings
and the whisking of the leaves in the wind
each sight leaves you saddened
yet exuberant
nostalgic feelings rush in
as past winters are remembered
each hazy detail becomes crystal clear
sending you back and forth into each illusion
the snows comes in quick
leaving everything with a white tint
each shape is changed
along with the feeling which is exuded
the distant footprints that lead to nowhere
bring confusion and curiosity
the adventures have begun
the sun pokes its head out of the clouds once more
snow drips and melts
with each memory and feeling melting with it
as the endless winter ceases
the beauty of spring begins
