is that let’s look at everyone in the same way, and not use rhetoric to attack the easy targets.

that’s pretty much just my point.

and your metaphor doesnt really hold up…it’s not like we’re stealing oil from anyone. and it’s not like the only countries that the US takes issue with are islamic countries.

but i will agree that the US has a horrible history of supporting flawed regimes in order to further their own interests. i’ve never disagreed with that.

i’m just trying to raise the bar of the discussion here. there’s a little too much rhetoric flying around. if we can start to think a little bit, maybe we can actually form our own opinions.
