..”ignorance is the most dangerous disease in the world, and it’s more epidemic in this country (USA)..than anywhere else….and the most damaging ignorance of all is that of religion and politics…” is saying a mouthful, Sailor.

I do not agree with the USA as being the most ignorant country in the world, however… that is an ignorant statement to make.

The U.S., while not the only clown in the ring, is made up of citizens from every country in the world, coming here to re-invent their lives amidst a climate that seduced them to move to America, if for no other reason, to feed and clothe their families, and live without fear of incrimination from their countries of origin for being individuals to themselves. It is this gathering of global individuals that makes the U.S. what it is, not the politician that can pretend of greatness for 8 years, at most.

Ignorance can be said to be the devil that inhabits the world, and people that sheepishly follow any religion or political ideologies, without questioning either of them, can certainly be called ‘ignorant’, altho the word ‘stupid’ cannot be dismissed.

Indeed it is these two belief systems, religion & politics, that is the root cause of all ignorance throughout the world. But given the availability of modern day technologies for people to communicate with others would seem to arrest some of the anxiety that borders on fanaticism in countries that are limited to what politicians and priests push down their throats as being ‘truths’, when in reality these self-proclaimed ‘leaders’ are just filling their own pockets at the expense of the ignorant with fear in order to sustain the ‘dogs of dogmas’ (observe Saddam & Dubya, observe the so-called ‘first world’ & the ‘third world, observe those that live in the 21st century and those that abide to a 7th century mentality, observe the battles between the Protestants and Catholics…the list goes on and on, and all of it given sustenance to politicians and priests by people too fearful to think otherwise.)
