They purposely dressed him in The Tie which was made of material unsuitable for video filming because certain materials cause psychodelic moray patterns.

First, they had rehearsals. They rehearsed the speech and then role-played as reporters, posing possible questions.

They rehearsed for hours and hours and hours.

But, unfortunately, they weren’t too happy with the President’s spontaneous responses and so they tried to drill him so that he would answer more clearly.

And then they rehearsed for several more hours.

But the on-the-air time was getting close. And it was too late for any more rehearsals.

So, they dressed him in The Tie.

The Tie was a diversionary tactic.

When you’re watching The Tie, it makes it more difficult to listen because you’re saying, “What the F is THAT?” and “Wow! Look at that Tie! Do you SEE that? That’s really wild!”

See?

It worked, right? 😀
You wrote a column about it.

LOL!
