At the Women in Black silent gathering Friday in St. Pete, I had the fortune to speak with a writer, Cynthia Cockburn, WIB-London She asked me about Vets for Peace and if we are getting new members from Iraq vets. I have been engaged in debate with conservative types via our antiwar vet website and know that the force for conformity is ever present, that sacred loyalty above all else. The following article in the St Pete times is about just that unquestioning loyalty which is an honored force in American Culture.


Their country called again, they said yes


I told her that although a certian minority would question the war, a strong force of conformity and processing it all to keep the definitions intact would prevail. The newspaper article above confirms that. Altho there is a great service for in-service folk who want to exercise dissent, called
