because you’re out of funds. That’s coz you don’t like what these taxes are for or, in a more general case, you don’t recognize the right of the taxer to make taxes to begin with.

So your goal is to deny this party taxes, not make someone else covertly pay them instead of you (after a week or so of public posturing by you, whereby you use the opportunity to earn a few browny points and enhance your reputation among the cult followers.) If that was acceptable to you, you should have then simply borrowed the same amount from the same guy and quietly paid your taxes — on time and w/o making a stink over it. Instead T engaged in histrionics.
