going x-country, need tips. quick!

hey yo–

driving to california from boston in 3 days. argh. can’t believe it’s here. we’ve got the route pretty much set just need suggestions. so below is my list of places, any suggestions of stuff to do would be lovely. i’ll be in SF all summer so suggestions for day trips from there welcome too.
